Meet  Apachi!  She is a rough coat, red, spayed, 4-year old.  She was a breeder dog, so has never been around kids, cats or other dogs. She wags her tail to let you know she wants to be your friend, but because she has never been loved on, she becomes timid.  Her adopter will have prior Chow Chow experience

Nacona  is a rough coat, cream, spayed, 3-year old. She is a sweet girl just waiting for her forever family to bring her out of her shell. She was a breeder, so she never got the chance to interact with kids, cats, or other dogs, but she wags her tail when they approach as though she would like to give it a try. All she needs is TLC.

Meet Sasha, a 4-year old blue, spayed rough coat.  She is a petite little girl that needs at least 24 hours to warm up to you. That's unbelievably fast for a Chow Chow. She would do best as  an only dog, but she does get along with larger dogs. She loves to be cuddled, so be ready to be kept warm.

Ginger is a red/ with black mask 5 -year -old, rough coat, spayed female. She is the most cat-like Chow you will ever meet. She only barks when there are strangers around or unfamiliar sounds. She needs to be the only pet and would do best with in a single adult setting. She is house-trained.  Once she warms up to you, she is a great companion.

Mr. Bentley

Meet Mr. Bentley is a mix of Chow/Shepherd.  He is 5 years old, neutered, a very quiet. He was returned to the Haven after 9 months because his person's schedule did not allow him the time he deserves. He is such an easy lovable boy, but like any pack animal, he needs your company. He is completely house trained, up-to-date on shots and micro-chipped. He is good with kids and adults, but no cats.

Rusty is a 12-year old, cream, rough coat senior.  He is developing hazy eyes, but nobody bothered to tell him he is old.  He loves to be pet and walked.  He really wants to spend his days with his own person because he could easily be around for the next 6-8 years.  He misses his person who went to a retirement village, and he longs for the day he can be someone's best friend again.

Max is a 7+ year old Chow/Collie mix. He is very loving and will follow you every where you go.  The human in his life loved him dearly, but sadly he passed away a couple of years after adopting Max from us.  Max is the perfect companion if you have room in your heart to make him the only one.  He does not like to share your attention with other dogs.  He gets along with them, but barks when they want to be near you.

Kiahwa is  a 3-year-old, light red with black mask, rough coat, spayed female. She  was a breeder dog that did not receive human interaction as a younger dog, so she is very shy.  She is completely house-trained, and will stay in one spot because she is afraid to move.  Many of our rescues started off this way, but they have completely acclimated to their new, patient , loving homes.  She just needs a chance.

Nadia is a 6-year-old rough-coat red, spayed female. She is very shy because she was a breeder and not treated as pet.  She does not want to be afraid and even wags her tail when I approach.   She needs the TLC of a patient person to fill the human void she has experienced so far.  She needs to be an only female dog.

Meet Daisy! She is a cream, 8-year old lab/chow mix that is spayed, UTD on vacs, and heart worm negative. She was raised in a family with 2 older kids. She likes women, and men that do not have a harsh/loud voice like the husband of her former owner. She has been living with a family that has many pets. Now she has begun chasing the cats and has come close to being kicked by a donkey. She needs a new home where she can be safe and free to play without the threat of being injured.

Blue (girl)

This is Blue. She is a black, 5-year-old spayed, heart worm negative, house-trained, kid-friendly, rough coat female needing a forever family. Her human boy has developed allergies and she cannot stay. Now she is being held in a garage-- away from the people she loves. Can you bring her into your world forever?

Can any of our Chowdren complete your family?
